[00:19] <dab> I switched to trunk
[00:21] <dab> then built using : ./build-helper.sh all
[00:21] <dab> it started build then it gave :

[00:22] <dab> hi crweb...
[00:22] <dab> how to do that?
[00:22] <crweb> what distro do you use?
[00:23] <dab> I am on VM
[00:23] <crweb> oo
[00:24] <dab> so,,,?
[00:24] <crweb> very interesting...
[00:25] <dab> really... I thought neuros gave a VM and many ppl will be using that.
[00:25] <crweb> sudo apt-get install zlib1g zlib1g-dev
[00:25] <dab> ok. wait.
[00:25] <crweb> it hasn't been updated for the new version
[00:25] <dab> ok
[00:26] <dab> its downloading
[00:26] <dab> done. now should I build again?
[00:27] <crweb> yep
[00:27] <dab> building...
[02:37] <dab> thanks crweb... it built... it ran.
[02:37] <dab> thanks a lot.
[03:05] <daurnimator> anyone around?
[07:36] <turran> hi all
[08:37] <JRB_handheld> crweb: u said no flash support on linux for the 64bit amds?
[10:52] <JoeBorn> hi all, anyone there?
[10:52] <JoeBorn> crweb: you there?
[10:53] <JoeBorn> GarBage: you there?
[11:09] <MattJ> Hi JoeBorn
[11:10] <JoeBorn> hi MattJ how goes it
[11:11] <MattJ> Going ok
[15:11] <MattJ> Phew, wooble to-do-before-release list is a lot shorter now :)
[16:31] <JoeBorn> hi everybody
[16:39] <hypervise> JoeBorn: I thought I'd update to firmware 3.33 since it has been a while. The YouTube is cool.
[16:44] <JoeBorn> hypervise: glad you like it.
[16:45] <JoeBorn> I've seen some people complaining about it crashing, are you experiencing that?
[16:45] <hypervise> no it didn't crash on me but I will play with it more.
[16:47] <hypervise> JoeBorn: BTW, I used the nick 'sourcerror' last year. I just never liked that nick after the first week. I haven't messed with OSD for a while (yow, unfortunately it has been about a year)
[16:48] <JoeBorn> ahh, I was wondering who you were :)
[16:49] <hypervise> it is fun to read your stuff about the next hardware. And I think the Qt direction is good. I read a little on the google list about it.
[16:51] <JoeBorn> yeah, Qt is a big step forward.
[16:52] <hypervise> This has probably been mentioned, but I think it would be fun for the YouTube app to be able to send a link to a "buddy" list as well as the bookmark choice in the XIMenu.
[16:53] <hypervise> you could tie the "buddy" list into other apps as well.
[17:16] <JoeBorn> indeed, we call that 'shark'
[17:16] <JoeBorn> that sharing feature, but it's mostly yet to be implemented.
[20:26] <daurnimator> test'
[20:26] <MattJ> tset
[20:26] <MattJ> '
[21:10] <daurnimator> lol
[21:15] <hypervise> The audio on my AVI files on the OSD (firmware 3.33) comes out as noise and has never worked on any version. When I do `file` on one of the AVIs I get... RIFF (little-endian) data, AVI, 640 x 480, 29.97 fps, video:, audio: (mono, 44100 Hz). So should I assume RIFF is not supported? Is this somehow non-standard? My camera that creates this is a CASIO EX-z750.
[21:23] <hypervise> I thought RIFF was the audio, but i guess it is the entire file format (was confusing it with AIFF that I've heard of). Anyway, does anyone know why audio would not work while video does?
[21:24] <Fatal> try mplayer on it (or gspot if you're running windows) to see the actual codec used for audio
[21:25] <hypervise> thanks Fatal. I don't understand why if it doesn't play that the OSD doesn't realize it.
[21:25] <hypervise> I mean why doesn't the OSD realize it isn't playing correctly?
[21:27] <hypervise> seems better than just playing really annoying garbage. oh well.
[21:38] <hypervise> Fatal: I have more info now... Opening audio decoder: [imaadpcm] IMA ADPCAUDIO: 44100 Hz, 1 ch, s16le, 177.1 kbit/25.10% (ratio: 22136->88200) ; Selected audio codec: [imaadpcm] afm: imaadpcm (IMA ADPCM)M audio decoder ;
