FAIR USE Act reaches 18 co-sponsors

Earlier this year, U.S. Reps. Rick Boucher, D-Va., and John Doolittle, R-Calif., introduced H.R. 1201, the Freedom And Innovation Revitalizing U.S. Entrepreneurship Act of 2007 (FAIR USE Act of 2007). The legislation will reduce lawsuits against innovators and protect the fair-use rights of citizens all over. This important legislation can also help protect open source projects against some of the harmful effects of the DMCA. If you're in the US, ask your representatives to support H.R. 1201 by visiting the Digital Freedom Web site.
