TI Davinci a good sign?

Obviously there's been considerable debate about TI and their attitudes towards open source, but I personally took the below link as a good sign that they are opening up. No question, there's still a ton of proprietary stuff in there, but still it seems like progress to me.

Needs a long way to reach Cradle performance

I think TI is a tad bit late. At least for the security apps, they would have to work hard to get Cradle's CT3616 app.
