Out of deep respect for our European Duck Hackers we will be alternating between our famous "Breakfast with the Chairman" and a "Saturday Lunch with the Chairman" (at least it's lunch time in Chicago).
That's Saturday, October 28, 2006 at 16:00:00 UTC for our international friends. CLICK THE LINK TO SEE YOUR LOCAL TIME!!!
Alternate means to go back and forth. i.e. this coming meeting will be Sat Afternoon, next meeting will be Thursday night, then it will go back to Sat Afternoon. I'll post reminders here in case you get confused by this complicated algorithm. *sign*
Note #1: In the category of confusing-but-we-do-it-anyway-because-we-have-a-weird-sense-of-humor, Chairman Gao is just a nickname and he's actually the head of our firmware division, so this meeting is about technical stuff like hacking the OSD.
Important Note #2: Not that it has a darn thing to do with anything, but the picture above is a Chicago delicacy called Italian Beef. This dish is considered by many culinary experts (namely me) to be among the finest dishes that a human is capable of preparing. Although there are many Chicagoland restaurants that prepare outstanding treatments of this essentially perfect meal, the best is a restaurant Mr. Beef less than a mile from our office.
Crucial Note #3: Alert Hacker Nerochiaro pointed out that despite the name, he has never seen such a dish in Italy (his place of residence). Perhaps it should be called Italian American Beef or something, but I wish to assure all concerned Neuros hackers that the workers at Mr. Beef proudly hail from Italy and display that proud heritage in many artifacts populating the restaurant. In the future, we can only hope that the motherland will come to embrace this culinary masterpiece as its own.
