[WHAT'S FIXED]
[KNOWN ISSUES BY COMPONENT]
Below is in basic priority order. For a complete listing and explanation of the Components, see Bugzilla OSD
Firmware- Basic Multimedia Functionality - New bug introduced in this release .mp4 and .asf file recording crashes after three hours or more sometimes. Otherwise, big improvements again on this release but stability will improve further on the next release. Please continue to give us your repeatable issues! Vague comments like "this file does not work," or "A/V sync issue" will NOT help much. There is frame dropping issues during playback the recorded mp4/asf file.
Firmware- Networking and Streaming - Add samba client but still not very stable,OSD crashes or slow-down when is in samba if network is disconnected suddenly .
Removable Media/USB - Apple ipod and Sony PSP has been supported in this release. Record video to Kingsoft SD 256MB card may still crashes device. MS/SD card is stable if the capacity is greater than 1GB. CF card is more stable in this release.
IR receiver/Blaster - IR receiver working, IR Blaster production Interface has been implemented.
Firmware- Scheduler/EPG - not implemented yet. Basic time and channel scheduler will be first.
Firmware- User Interface - Has many changes in this release, Various A/V recording/playback details (scroll bar, ID3 display etc) has completed. And Scheduler recording interface has improved.
Firmware-Miscellaneous - Host of mostly minor issues remain. Console doesn't work properly, among others.
Firmware- Audio Player/Recorder - Can’t record audio in this release.
Multimedia Framework/Neuros API - A big thanks to Nerochiaro for taking ownership of this component, main thrust of developer interface work is currently on Project Lobster (see for status updates) Probably after year end more focus will go to additional API requests.

Stability
Hi,
While Mpeg-4 is not my format of choice, I have to say that this latest firmware implementation has created stability while recording to my USB Flash drive. Congratulations - you are going in the right direction. Now, if you can just add back stable support for Divx recording, I will be very happy.

Tim Ryan
Automatic recording missing?
So if the problem is that the menu options are not shown due to a mistake in the UI, can I telnet to the OSD and edit the .syscfg file in the /mnt/OSD directory? I should be able to change the settings there right? Or is the error more complex?
Cheers
Brett
Don't worry that's just
Don't worry that's just temporary, it was obscured by a mistake in the UI, it should be back soon.
Automatic recording missing?
I just upgraded to 3.27-0.54 and I seem to have lost the automatic recording feature. As this is the main feature I use I am some what distressed.. Has it been removed or hidden?
Cheers
Brett
