FTP server on OSD! Thanks Crweb

Thanks to crweb I npw have a working ftp server on my OSD!  This is part of a larger project I'm doing that I'll detail shortly, but in the meantime, I'll just post on this since it's incredibly simple and very handy.

Instructions (and the downloads) can be found at http://www.limesg.com/osd/ftpserver/  there's no need to flash the firmware or even reboot the OSD, you just put the files on an SD card and telnet into the machine, run and you're ready to go.  You can just as easily do it from a windows machine as from a Linux box.

If you have an external HD attached to the device, then its really handy and simple to swap files on your lan or even outside (although there's no security at this point, so that's not such a hot idea).  There's virtually nothing to worry about with the lan, unlike *ahem* MS networking...

This is really getting exciting, the idea of being able to easily add new applications to the OSD, and this one was setup by crweb in something like minutes and it's really a snap to use!  BTW, we're also working on getting the OSD to do SMB sharing so it will really be able to be used as a basic NAS

Help...

I'm a late-comer and want to set this up, but the link provided: http://www.limesg.com/osd/ftpserver/ no longer exists. Where can I find the details?

What's next, apache?

And no, I'm not joking. This is the kind of leverage you get with Linux.
