[KNOWN ISSUES BY COMPONENT]

Below is in basic priority order.  For a complete listing and explanation of the Components, see Bugzilla OSD

Firmware- Basic Multimedia Functionality - OSD crashes if record mp4 and asf file for more than two or three hours ---this is fixed in this release.  Now,OSD can record asf and mp4 file up to 2G or two hours and thirty minutes   And it will split to another file to record if you doesn’t stop record after it up to 2G or two hours and thirty minutes.  MPEG2 playback from USB disk has framedrops. OSD recorded MP4 (aac audio) may experience A/V sync issue when playing on PC/iPod. There is audible 'pop' noise when switching from Video input/record mode to playback . Audio playback is not yet working well and may cause user interface crash. Please continue to give us your repeatable issues!

Firmware- Networking and Streaming - Can support Windows 2000 and Linux and also can support Windows XP if you set the shared folder’s permissions as Everyone. OSD slows-down when is in samba if network is disconnected suddenly, and OSD stalls if network is disconnected when playing/recording video in Samba

Removable Media/USB - MPEG-2 files have playback issues over USB

IR receiver/Blaster - IR receiver is working. IR Blaster Interface has been implemented, And has been modified to inform users whether you have learn the all keys. PLEASE TEST THIS FUNCTIONALITY, it is new!

Firmware- Scheduler/EPG - EPG not implemented yet.  Basic time and channel scheduler has been implemented.

Firmware- User Interface - Some changes, adjust the screen’s size, and all fonts seem more bigger. Some needless select is cut down in XIM selection.

Firmware-Miscellaneous - Host of mostly minor issues remain. Console doesn't work properly, but has improved and input display refresh has been fixed.

Firmware- Audio Player/Recorder - Can’t record audio only in this release.  Hopefully XMMS2 will be incorporated in official release for audio playback soon.

Multimedia Framework/Neuros API - A big thanks to Nerochiaro for taking ownership of this component, main thrust of developer interface work is currently on Project Lobster (see for status updates) Additional API requests will be fielded as they come.
