[WHAT'S FIXED]
[KNOWN ISSUES BY COMPONENT]
Below is in basic priority order. For a complete listing and explanation of the Components, see Bugzilla OSD
Firmware- Basic Multimedia Functionality - MPEG2 can’t stop recording after 2G or two hours, thirty minutes (akin to a runaway train). Playback from USB disk has framedrops. OSD recorded MP4 (aac audio) may experience A/V sync issue when playing on PC/iPod. There is an audible 'pop' noise when switching from Video input/record mode to playback. Asf file(length more than one hour) can't fastforward to the end. Auto-recording can't detect input signal if it was previously in pass through mode.. Please continue to give us your repeatable issues and files that don't play properly!
Firmware- Networking and Streaming - Can support Windows 2000 and Linux and also can support Windows XP if you set the shared folder’s permissions as "share to Everyone". OSD slows-down when samba network is disconnected suddenly, and OSD stalls if network is disconnected when playing/recording video in Samba (is this really a bug? What should it do?). It often takes several refreshes to access your network shared drives. We're waiting the implementation of crweb's Network attached storage features. Nerochiaro is working on getting a USB Wifi adapter going.
Removable Media/USB - MPEG-2 files have playback issues over USB (particuliarly high bitrate ones like from DVDs)
IR receiver/Blaster - IR receiver is working. IR Blaster Interface has been implemented, And has been modified to inform users whether you have "learned" all keys. PLEASE TEST THIS FUNCTIONALITY, it is new!
Firmware- Scheduler/EPG - EPG not implemented yet. Basic time and channel scheduler has been implemented. Nerochiaro is working on EPG.
Firmware- User Interface - Screen’s size has been enlarged to fill more displays, and all fonts appear larger, and better matched. Some needless items got nuked from the Xi menus.
Firmware-Miscellaneous - Host of mostly minor issues remain. Console doesn't work properly, but has improved and input display refresh has been fixed.
Firmware- Audio Player/Recorder - Still haven't reintroduced audio only recording. Hopefully XMMS2 will be incorporated in official release for audio playback soon (anders_ where are you?).. Audio playback is not yet working well and may cause user interface crash, and it can't fastforward or rewind audio when playing. background playback has been enabled.
Multimedia Framework/Neuros API - API requests will be fielded as they come. Primary focus is on OSDMain Refactoring. make sure to attend the next meeting on IRC

it was interesting. like it!
Samba issue
I still cannot see my samba shares that are hosted off openfiler. Actually when it scans the network it finds nothing. Considering that openfiler is hosting both NFS & Samba shares, i would have thought something would have been found.
